Benedict H. Rodemeier
85, Wausau died Sunday, January 29, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born October 1, 1920 in the town of Wausau, son of the late John and Emma (Kranz) Rodemeier. On February 4, 1949, he married Jane Schilling in Peoria, Ill. She preceded him in death on May 30, 1979.
Ben was a millwright worker for the Murray Machinery, Wausau until retiring in 1982. Besides hunting, fishing and woodworking, Ben enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Kay (Dick) Van Ooyen, town of Pelican Lake; one son, John (Chris) Rodemeier, town of Wausau; six grandchildren, Cindy (Dale) Lochman, Scott Ostrowski, Stacy (Mark) Pukall, Kate (Joe) Thompson, Jane (Chad) Rodemeier-Schloesser and Jesse Kita.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Kita; three brothers, Frank, Joe & Rufus Rodemeier.
The memorial mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the church.
