Barbara A. Powers

Barbara "Babs" A. Powers 51, Wausau, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at her home. She was born December 6, 1955 in Wausau, daughter of John and Shirley (Sanders) Kutil of Wausau. On January 12, 2004, she married Michael Powers in Wausau. He survives. Barbara owned and operated the former Alterations by Barbara, Wausau. Among her many interests, she enjoyed playing pool, listening to music, dancing and attending off-road racing events. Survivors include her husband, Michael Powers, Wausau; two daughters, Stefanie (Jason) Henry, Birnamwood and Rhiannon (Matt) MacKenzie, Chattanooga, Tenn.; her parents, John and Shirley Kutil, Wausau; six siblings, John (Rhonda) Kutil, N.Y.A., Minn., Kathy (Greg) Mayer, New Port Richey, Fla., Michael (Laurie) Kutil, Wausau, David (Donna) Kutil, Wausau, Antoinette (Brian) Schmitt, Wausau and Karen (Chad) Cochart, Sheboygan; her mother-in-law, Edna Powers, Wausau; two step-children, Jason Powers, Wausau and Jenny (David) Kellner, Weston; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Powers, Wausau and Mary (Steve) Strasser, Manistique, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Patrick (Karyn) Powers, Wausau and Joe Powers, Schofield; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Richard Powers. Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev.
