Barbara C. Langhoff
89, 1713 W. Porter St., Wausau, died Wednesday March 20, 2002 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
She was born May 11, 1912 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late William and Mary (Hassenfuss) Buchberger. On October 4, 1934 she married Gordon Langhoff in Wausau. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1981.
Barbara was a homemaker, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and after her work was done, relaxed by doing fancy work.
Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis (Norbert) Laska, Suring, Sylvia Weiler, Conrath, Agnes (Ronald) Mans, Campbellsport, and Ramona (Hilarian 'Mick') Michlig, Dorchester, three sons, Gordon Jr. (Dianne) Langhoff, Oak Creek, Roman (Sandi) Langhoff, Souix City, Iowa and Douglas (Marie) Langhoff, Milwaukee, 30 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, four sisters, Sylvia (Romie) Opichka, Wausau, Edna Kolberg, Bradenton, Fla., Lillian (Marvin) Curler, Fort Meyers, Fla., and Frances Kroening, Wausau.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son a grandchild, a great-grandchild and four brothers, William, Arnold, Jake and Lawrence Buchberger.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Saturday March 23, 2002 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Anthony Dichoso will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau, and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
