Barbara Ann (Ekberg) Kiehne

March 6, 1957 — October 11, 2002

Barbara Ann (Ekberg) Kiehne 45, Weston, went to be with her Lord on October 11, 2002 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 6, 1957 in Baraboo, daughter of Joan Ekberg, Onalaska and the late Edward Ekberg. On August 24, 1982, she married Gary Kiehne at St. Paul Lutheran Church, LaCrosse. Barbara was trained as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at the Fox Valley Technical College. She was employed at the Valley-Bay Therapy Service, Multicare, Genesis, MJ Care, Wausau Manor and Bradley Chiropractic where she used her talents of creativity, kindness and compassion. She is loved by her husband, Gary and their children, Paul and Korin, Weston; her mother, Joan Ekberg, Onalaska; two sisters, Sue Ekberg and her son, Han, California, Cathy (Dick) Hilton and their children, Will and Jennie, Galesville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Joane Kiehne, LaCrosse; Two sisters-in-law, Jan (Terry) Werner and their children, Brett and Brian, LaCrosse, Lisa (Greg) Garner and their children, Chris and Anna, Rochester, Minnesota; one brother-in-law, Paul (Linda) Kiehne, Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday; October 14, 2002 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Rev. Dwayne Lueck will officiate. Burial will be in the Morman Coulee Memorial Park, LaCrosse. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church.
