Barbara A. Hazen, 77, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born August 6, 1932 in Wausau, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Torzewski) Bramm. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Mansfield Liederkranz and member and past President of Bridge Singles. Barbara was employed as a bookkeeper with the Cotton Club Bottling Company from 1975-1991.
Barbara is survived by five children, Diane (Karl) Nold of Midland, MI, Catherine (Todd) Cox of Bucyrus, OH, John "David" (Kimberly) Hazen, Jr. of Bay City, MI, Barbara Hitchings of Delaware, OH and Scott (Cheryl) Hazen of Mansfield, OH; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a step sister, Carol Radtke of Schofield, WI; a step brother, Gary Busko of Sauk Rapids, MN; sister-in-law and friend, Carol Hazen of Wausau, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hazen, Sr.; a sister, Doris Schneider; step father, Leo Busko; and granddaughter, Rebecca Nold.
Friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Tony Borgia officiating. Visitation will also be held from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, August 10 at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, Wisconsin. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the Humane Society of Richland County, 3025 Park Avenue West, Ontario, Ohio 44906, or the Monsignor Edward C. Dunn Foundation for Education at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 104 W. First St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902.
