Barbara M. Goetz, 68, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee, with her family by her side. She was born October 11, 1946 in Burlington, daughter of the late Edmund and Mildred (Rausch) Wolf. On August 12, 1978 she married Louis Goetz Jr. He preceded her in death in June of 1987. Barb attended St. Mary Grade School and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1964. She lived most of her life in the Wausau area and worked as a nursing assistant for North Central Health Care Center, as well as several nursing homes in the Milwaukee area. Barb loved family gatherings, music and her cat. She had a great sense of humor and was an expert knitter who will be missed by all. Survivors include her sisters, Judy (Arne) Peterson, Lena and Dianne (Michael) Smetana, Burlington; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorial services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Matthew Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from Noon until the time of services all at the funeral home.
