Barbara Maria Fraser 79, Rothschild, went to eternal life on May 5, 2010 at Mount View Care Center. Barbara Maria (Dobeck) Fraser was born June 23, 1930 to Isadore and Esther Dobeck, Rothschild. Survivors include her husband Loren, her sons Kevin "Fuzz" Fraser, Kelly (Jean) Fraser, both of Rothschild, Daughter -in-law- Sherry Fraser (Todd), Watertown WI, 6 Grandchildren, Tara(Brown), Zackary, Savannah, David, Michael, and Abigail Fraser. Two Great Grandchildren, Janessa and Lamaiah . Brother Dennis "Butch" (Kathy) Dobeck Rothschild, Brother in law, Gerald Rogalla, Milwaukee. And many other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by parents Isadore and Esther Dobeck, Son, Todd Lee Fraser, sister Dawn Rogalla. Barbara loved the Lord and serving him. She was an original member of Saint Marks. Barb knitted Prayer Shawls and visited the sick. She enjoyed working with St. Mark's Circle of Joy and delivering food baskets. Barbara was a Bridge Club Member for almost 50 yrs. She treasured going to the cabin in Harshaw with her family in the summers. Avid gardener, she could be found at one of the many greenhouse's looking for the newest flower to adorn her garden. Cherished bingo and the occasional casino trip. Barbara took pleasure in her bowling league team. Fanatic Cub Fan and Sammy Sosa supporter. Barbara worked at former American Can for 10 yrs. Waitress for Coral Lanes, The Mint Cafe', The Hoffman House, and hostess at The Cracked Pot. She later worked as a demo person at Sam's Club. Barbara married Loren Lee Fraser April 11th of 1953 at Saint Therese Catholic Church in Rothschild, WI. She resided at 400 Becker, all her married life in the house they built with family. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Allan L. Slowiak will preside. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Barbara's name to Saint Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild or the Marathon County Human Society. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and the staff at Mount View Care Center for all their care and support given to Barbara.
