August B. Zoromski

February 6, 1919 — September 27, 2013

August B. Zoromski, 94, Hatley, died Friday September 27, 2013 at Cedar Creek Manor under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. 

He was born on February 6, 1919 on the family farm in the town of Ringle son of Joseph and Martha (Walkush) Zoromski. On November 7, 1942 he married Anna Budleski at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. 

She preceded him in death January 8, 1974. On October 26, 1979 he married Angeline (Nievinski) Mondroski at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. 

She preceded him in death October 26, 2007. Augie lived his entire life on the family farm and prior to his retirement was a dairy farmer, raised veal calves and ginseng. 

In recent years, his interests included playing cards at Terry's, listening to polka music, especially Big Joe, Molly B. and every Sunday morning,without fail —Jeff Heinz. As the years went on, he continued to play cards and always loved to snap that winning card on the table with a loud crack and chuckle. 

He enjoyed visits from family and friends, especially from all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially his "little joker". Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Jessie Zoromski, Ringle, two sons, Leon (Dianne) Zoromski, Pike Lake; Greg (Tracy) Zoromski, Wausau, seven grandchildren, Clint (fiancé Margo) Zoromski, Brian (Becky) Zoromski, Charles Zoromski, Scott (Michelle) Zoromski, Beth Zoromski, Anna (Erik) Zoromski-Linde, and Katie Zoromski, seven great-grandchildren, Devin & Tristan Zoromski, Olivia & Bryce Zoromski, Antek, Carson and Skylar Linde. 

Besides his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by two sons, David and Randy Zoromski, siblings, John, Alex, Ben, Edward, Henry, Marie Kreger, Katherine Page, Rose Beam, and Martha Fierek. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. Monday September 30, 2013 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Rev. Roy Witucki will preside. 

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at http://www.petersonkraemer.com
