Audrey E. Lemmer

Audrey E Lemmer, 87, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday March 11th 2026 under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

She was born August 17, 1938 in Wausau, daughter of the late Herbert and Myrtle (Burk) Leitermann.

Audrey was the only child who grew up on a family farm in Marathon. She spent more than 35 years working in medical records at Bone and Joint Clinic, where she was known for her dedication and care. Audrey was a faithful member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Wausau. She loved cooking and celebrating holidays and birthdays with her family, always bringing people together for special occasions. Audrey also enjoyed playing piano. Throughout Audrey and Orville's 40 year partnership they enjoyed going for fish fry every Friday night with a traditional old fashioned, they enjoyed watching Nascar and Packer Games, camping at Wisconsin Valley Fair, attending church picnics and traveling the world. Audrey and Orv have traveled to places such as Germany, Hawaii, Italy, Branson, Las Vegas, Disney World, Washington DC and the list goes on.

She shared a deep bond with her Grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them; Casey (Kaitlynn), Mackenzie, Conrad, Cade, Chloe (Dee), and Great Grandson, Luka.

Survivors include her son, Craig (Heidi) Lemmer, daughter, Lana (Dave) Brounacker and Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved partner, Orville, and her loyal dog, Buddy.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service all at the Sixth Street funeral home. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
