Arvid A. Kleinstick, 86, Edgar, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 11, 1927 in Colby, son of the late Richard and Martha (Radeztsky) Kleinstick. On July 16, 1971, he married Marjorie Peterson in Wausau. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2005.
Arvid was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. For many years, he owned and operated Arv's Electric in Edgar. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales. Arvin loved to feed the birds and squirrels around his home. He also had three cats that kept him busy and entertained.
Survivors include, one brother, Norman (Vivian) Kleinstick, Goodrich; one sister, Mildred Muir, Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Marjorie, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laverne (Donald) Accola; one brother, Ray (Lauretta) Kleinstick; and one brother-in-law, Rick Muir.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion, Edgar and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Edgar. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
