Arvada A. Geier

Arvada A. Geier, 81, Wausau died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home. She was born April 23, 1934 in Wausau, daughter of the late Warren and Bernice (Hopp) Reetz Sr. She married Clarence Geier in Wausau in 1951. Arvada was a homemaker and a house wife. After she raised her children she went to work as a cook for Wausau Child Care and eventually retired from there. Arvada loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Mark (Mary) Geier, Chilton, Ginger Witte, Sherrie (Tom) Emmerich and Faye Lake, all of Wausau, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two brothers, Warren (Carol) Reetz Jr., Wausau and Larry (Kathy) Reetz, Sheboygan Falls, one brother-in-law, Bill Seidler, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Elaine Seidler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
