Arthur E. Dornstreich

Arthur E. Dornstreich 86, formerly of Humboldt Ave, Wausau, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. He was born December 13, 1915 in Marathon County, son of the late Ewald and Helen (Reinhart) Dornstreich. On October 24, 1959, he married Eleanore Kotsch in Iowa. She preceded him in death on May 9, 1996. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII. Arthur was employed at Palace Clothiers, and had owned & operated the Glass Hat. He was a past director of the Emergency Police in Wausau and was a deputy sheriff for Marathon County. Arthur was a Life Member and past Quartermaster and Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388, Wausau and was a member of the Last Man's Club. He was also a member of American Legion Montgomery Plant Post #10, the Elks Club, the Moose Lodge and the Masonic Lodge all of Wausau. Survivors include one son, Bryan (Michelle) Dornstreich, Apple Valley, Minn.; Three grandchildren, Michael, Kristin and Drew. Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Vernon Dolde will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
