Arnold Radke
82, Marathon, died Saturday, May 3, 2003 with his family by his side under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
He was born on September 28, 1920 in the town of Stettin, son of the late Herman & Amanda (Bielke) Radke. On July 6, 1946, he married Rose Tesch at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Stettin. She preceded him in death in 1996.
Arnold was a farmer and construction worker until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed tinkering with things outside and going to the cottage up north but most special to him was being around his family, friends and talking about old times.
Survivors include one son, Ervin (Bernie) Radke, Edgar; one daughter, Bonnie (Jerry) Homeyer, Marathon; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Julie (Louis) Thurs and Ruth Venske, both of Wausau; one brother, LeRoy Radke, Wausau.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Della Schultz, Erna Rader and Hattie Ross; two brothers, Jonny and Herman Radke.
Memorial services will be 6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. Deacon LeRoy Knauf will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at the Marathon funeral home.
He will always be remembered as honest and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
