Armella I. Sanders
October 13, 1945 — April 30, 2018
Armella I. Sanders, 72 Wausau, died Monday, April 30, 2018 at Stoney River Memory Care, Marshfield, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
She was born October 13, 1945 in Milwaukee to the late William and Armella (Stigler) Sanders. Armella attended St. Mary's Grade School and Divine Savior High School in Milwaukee, and later graduated from the Spencerian Business College.
For many years Armella worked as a medical assistant in various medical and dental offices.
One of Armella's greatest passions was gardening and she took great pleasure in tending to her flowers. She loved to travel and also enjoyed researching genealogy with her sister-in-law, Bonnie. Armella's cats also held a special place in her heart.
Armella is survived by two brothers, Lawrence (Bonnie) Sanders, Wausau, and Jerome Sanders, Presque Isle, as well as many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her.
Besides her parents, Armella was preceded in death by her sister Rosemary Dobratz, brother-in-law Dean Dobratz and sister-in-law Judith Sanders.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Parish, Elm Grove. Rev. Peter Berger will preside. Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery in Elm Grove.
