Arlon "Bud" R. Habeck
81, Sheboygan, formerly of 1239 S. 11th Ave. Wausau, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Terrace Estates, Sheboygan.
He was born May 4, 1929 in Athens, son of the late Helen Habeck. Arlon married Doris Karow July 9, 1948. They later divorced. Later he married Helen Flourney on July 6, 1968. She preceded him in death. After 28 years Arlon was reunited with his first wife Doris and exchanged vows on Nov. 23, 1994. She survives.
Arlon served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1946 during which he was employed as a storekeeper for the Navy's general supply company for 20 years. After that he worked for Bell and Howell in Chicago. His hobbies include fishing, bowling and watching baseball.
Survivors include his wife Doris Habeck, Sheboygan; six sons: Gerald (Lanee) Habeck, Sheboygan; Brian (Susan) Habeck, Tomah; Allen (Cynthia) Habeck, Sheboygan; Russell (Lucinda) Habeck, Middleton; Roger (Cynthia) Habeck, Tomah; Dennis (Rebecca) Habeck, Onalaska; 18 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; three brothers: Harvey Habeck, New Jersey; John and James Butler both of Illinois; one sister Joan Moros of Arizona; one brother-in-law Arvid (Judy) Karow, Wausau; two aunts: Dorothy Habeck, Wausau; Esther Beal, Madison along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave. Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church.
