Arletta C. Engman

Arletta C. Engman 86, Wausau died Saturday, March 19, 2011 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at the Hospice House, Wausau. She was born November 5, 1924 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late Fred and Meta (Viergutz) Erdmann. On July 6, 1946 she married Edwin Engman at St. Paul's UCC, Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1987. Arletta was a homemaker. Some of her favorite pastimes included baking, gardening, embroidery and taking an occasional fishing trip. Survivors include her grandchildren, Kari (Greg) Thomae and Troy (Kathy) Engman, both of Wausau, 8 great grandchildren, Kayla (Jeff Mauer) Thomae, Tyler and Dakota Thomae, Brittany, Breanna and Bradley Engman and Dylan and Alexis Krug, 2 great great grandchildren, Cameron Thomae and Carson Mauer, one sister, Eleanor Leitermann, Marathon, one sister-in-law, Sadie Erdmann, Independence, Iowa and one daughter-in-law, Carol Engman, Wausau. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Engman, one son David Engman, four sisters, Edna Brown, Viola Schulz, Clara Harp and Meta Glasel and four brothers, Harvey, Reuben, Henry and Fred Erdmann. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Minister Keane Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
