Arlene F. (Malak) Urmanski
88, formerly of Wausau, died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids.
She was born October 3, 1915 in Wausau, daughter of the late Gustave and Anna (Nelson) Mathie. On November 18, 1939, she married Anton F. Malak. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1969. She then married Leonard P. Urmanski on February 17, 1973. He survives.
Arlene was employed by Wausau Insurance Company for 30 years until retiring in 1979. She belonged to the Quarter Century Club at Wausau Insurance and the American Legion Auxiliary of Wausau.
Besides her husband, Leonard Urmanski, she is survived by her children, Janet (Yulan) Jensen, Nekoosa, Barbara (Eugene) Jensen, Nekoosa, Kathleen "Kay" (Gary) Swartz, Appleton and William (Marsha) Malak, Springfield, Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; step-son, Gerald Urmanski, Tucker, Georgia, step-daughter, Janice (Jim) Straub, Wausau; two step grandchildren.
Besides her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Kufalk and Delores Nelson; brother, Raymond Nelson.
Memorial services will be Noon Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Michael Grade School, Wausau.
