Ardell Koenig

Ardell Koenig, 80, 1821 N. 4th Avenue, Wausau, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born June 25, 1923, in the town of Hamburg, daughter of the late Walter and Matilda (Voight) Krohn. On February 27, 1943 she married Gilbert C. Koenig in the town of Stettin. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2000. Survivors include a son, Roger (Marjorie) Koenig; a grandson Keith (Georgia) Koenig; a great grandson Kyle Koenig, all of Wausau; four step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and four step great great grandchildren; seven sisters, Ethel Buttke, Marathon, Junice (Wally) Braatz, Wausau, Luann (Rev. William) Ruhbush, Schofield, Mavis Schoenherr, Wausau, Lois (Michael) Fasse, Merrill, Geneva (Wallace) Weith, Wausau, and Lorraine (Bill) Melanson, Wausau; and three brothers, Layton (Dot) Krohn, Alexander City, Ala., Earlin (Marie) Krohn, Nekoosa, Donald (Phyllis) Krohn, Wausau. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday June 30, 2003 at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church. Rev. Thomas F. Hoelter will officiate. Burial will be in the Stettin Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12: noon until the time of services Monday at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
