Anthony S. Fox

Anthony S. Fox, 67, of Wausau, WI passed away on January, 17, 2012 at his favorite place, on the beach in La Ventana, Baja, Mexico after a great day of windsurfing. Tony is survived by Sandra (Sherfinski) Fox, his wife of 46 years; three children: Sabina (James) Fox-Stephens, Rosemont, MN; Brian (Tracie) Fox, Lakeville, MN; and Tony Fox, Madison, WI; five grandchildren: Charlee, Jordan, and Kenna Stephens and Annika and Rylie Fox; six brothers and sisters: Gloria (John) Longwitz, Mary McPherson, Rob (Teri) Fox, Tom Fox, Randy Fox, and Charles (Kathy) Fox; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tony was born in St. Louis, MO on August 6, 1944 to Anthony G. and Norma (Kufahl) Fox and was raised in Minocqua, WI. He met Sandra in Wausau where they raised their family and continued to live in addition to spending winters during their retirement years in La Ventana, Mexico. Tony worked 30 years for GTE/Verizon in Wausau. He was an avid sportsman, spending many years fishing, hunting, camping, scuba diving, biking, cross-country skiing, kayaking, sailing, mountain climbing and his favorite of all windsurfing. He especially enjoyed sharing these activities with his grandchildren. A Catholic mass was held in La Ventana, Mexico. Family and friends of Tony will gather on Saturday, January 28th from 3-5pm at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, WI.
