Anna K. Mohr 79, Wausau, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born August 21, 1929 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Matilda Mohr. Anna graduated from Marathon High School in 1947 and continued her education in Chicago, Ill. where she graduated from Nursing School. For 48 years, she lived in Cicero, Ill. and worked as a nurse and Nursing Director at St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago, Ill. for 46 years. Anna retired and moved to Madison for several years and then returned to Marathon to care for her sister, Theresa Mohr. She has resided in the Wausau area for the past 10 years. Anna was a member of the Wausau area Women's Council, Catholic Knights and American Legion Auxillary. She was also an active member at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She enjoyed bowling, travel, and spending time with family. Survivors include her sister Tilda Mohr, Wausau; niece, Laurie (Pat) Gorman, Waunakee; great nephew, Matthew Gorman; and two great nieces, Nicole and Christina Gorman. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Matilda Mohr; one brother, John Mohr Jr.; sisters Theresa Mohr and Bernadine Bachhuber; her aunt Anna; and one niece, Rebecca Sue Marks. Anna's faith was paramount in her life. She was a caregiver and guardian angel to all those fortunate enough to know her. We will forever hold you in our hearts. Private family services were held at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.
