Ann L. Wendorf

Ann L. Wendorf 77, Marathon, died Saturday February 11, 2012 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 21, 1934, in Mosinee, daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Kronenwetter) Kujawa. On February 27, 1954, she married Dale D. Wendorf in Wausau. He survives. Ann was a homemaker that enjoyed making their house into a loving home. She enjoyed the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Fond memories of Ann include her excellent skills cooking and baking, especially her delicious homemade bread and her famous homebrewed root beer. After her children grew up and moved on, she provided in home child care and later worked in the hot lunch programs of St. Mary Catholic School and the Marathon Public School System. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, going to the movies, fishing and swimming at the cottage as well as caring for the animals and pets on the farm. Ann had also been a member of the Ninety-niner's Homemakers Club of Marathon. Survivors include her husband, Dale D. Wendorf, Marathon, four children, Carol Wendorf and Laura Wendorf, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Paula (Eugene) Heil, Marathon, David (Karen) Wendorf, Wausau, a son-in-law, Joe Kauzlaric, Wausau, seven grandchildren, Scott (Tera) Kauzlaric, Ryan Kauzlaric, Dan Kauzlaric; Becky (FiancAC., Andy Lang) Heil, Kathy (FiancAC., Chris Frisch) Heil; Joseph Wendorf and John Wendorf; one sister, Lanore Rusch, Wausau. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Eloise Kauzlaric and one sister, Mary Ekleberry. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Weds. February 15, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Rev. Joseph Diermeier will preside. Burial will be in the Mosinee Cemetery. Friends may call on Weds.
