Ann M. Robison, 66, Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following a three year battle with cancer.
She was born October 9, 1958 in Wausau, daughter of the late Henry and Pauline (Bembenek) Wanserski. On June 24, 1989, she married Steve Robison at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.
In her younger years, Ann began her career in teaching at St. Anthony Catholic School in Athens. She went on to teach at Newman Catholic Schools at St Therese where she taught the Sixth Grade and retired from teaching in 2020 from the Mosinee Middle School, where she taught Sixth Grade Language and Arts. Ann made a positive impact on many of her student’s lives throughout the years and still kept in contact with some of her students. She also enjoyed working part-time at JC Penney and Bath and Body Works in the Wausau Center Mall.
Among her favorite pastimes, Ann enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheepshead, making greeting cards and entertaining family and friends at their pool.
Most important to Ann was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Steve; eight siblings, Don (Judy) Wanserski, Joe Wanserski, Marie Shilka, Virginia (Paul) Gottschalk, Henry (Cindy) Wanserski, James (Sandy) Wanserski, Carol (Al) Drechsler and David (Lorri) Wanserski and their families; special niece, Carla (Clarence) Soczka; and special nephew, Jeff (Jesse) Kluck and family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Victor and Fayth Robison; one sister, Elaine Aschenbrener; one nephew, Tom Wanserski; two sisters-in-law, Judy Wanserski and Linda Wanserski; and one brother-in-law, Jim Shilka.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 621 N. Second Street, Wausau. Rev. Tom Lindner will preside. Entombment will be in the Holy Angels Mausoleum in St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aspirus Cancer Center, 215 N. 28th Avenue, Wausau in Ann’s memory.
