Angeline O. Huebner

Angeline O. Huebner, 91, Wausau died peacefully Monday, June 23, 2014 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau. She was born February 11, 1923 in Auburndale, daughter of the late Edgar and Cornelia (Munnik) Gorke. On June 4, 1946 she married the late Elroy Huebner in Marshfield. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2011. Angeline graduated from Fifield High School and worked at Winkelman's Department Store for several years and later stayed at home to raise her children. Some of her hobbies included reading, spending time with family and friends, and participating in many church activities, but her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent camping with her husband. Survivors include her children, Charles (Maxine) Huebner, Wausau, Kathleen Huebner, Wausau and Richard Huebner, Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandchildren, Joy and Ruth Huebner, both of Wausau; and her sister Evalyn Rustad, Marshfield. Besides her parents and husband, Elroy, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Alfred, Elvin and Adolph Gorke, and one sister, Iris Brickheimer. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Eric Olson and Lay Minister Eugene Viegut will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
