Andrew R. "Andy" Zoromski
85, Wausau, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born November 25, 1922 in Bevent, son of the late Leo and Johanna (Bednarski) Zoromski. On May 31, 1947 he married Marjorie Merwin at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2003.
Andy worked as a machinist retiring in 1985 from James River Corporation, formerly Marathon Corporation and American Can. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8733, Mosinee. Andy was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark (special friend Julie) Zoromski, Wausau and Tod Zoromski, Green Bay; three daughters, Margo (Walter) Engebretson, Weston, Susan (Allan) Venzke, Athens and Renee (Michael) Falstad, Wausau; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Radtke, Wausau and Evelyn (Bud) Specht, Mesa, Ariz.
Besides his wife, Marjorie, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Stewart, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Hospice House and Mount View Care Center for the wonderful care given to Andy.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
