Amy J. Bentz

Amy J. Bentz, 84, 1240 Merrill Avenue No. 315, Wausau, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Hospital. She was born June 30, 1919 in Wausau daughter of the late Max and Elsie (Schmidt) Zastrow. On April 17, 1946 she married Colby C. Bentz in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1984. Amy was a homemaker and along with her husband, Colby, operated the Bentz's Resort. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post No. 388 Auxiliary, Wausau. Survivors include her daughter, Diane Schickert, Wausau; one son, Robert (Linda) Bentz, Wausau; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one sister, Ellie (David) Hase, Wausau and one brother, Robert Zastrow, Marathon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters. Private family funeral services will be held at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Stephen C.
