Alyce M. Nowitzke

Alyce M. Nowitzke 80, Wausau, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born December 2, 1927 in Minocqua, daughter of the late Otto and Marie (Sitkowski) Maas. On October 15, 1951 she married Gordon Nowitzke at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1997. Alyce was a homemaker and also worked at the county clerks office. She enjoyed music, shopping, going up North and cooking for her family. Survivors include her son, Daniel Nowitzke, Wausau; one sister, Ruth Reich, Wausau; and one brother, Ray Maas, Ringle. Besides her parents and husband, Gordon, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew. The funeral service will be noon Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
