Alvina C. Kropidlowski, 93, Edgar, died Monday, November 25, 2002 in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
Alvina was born October 1, 1909 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late John and Cecelia (Pietrowski) Lee. She married Benedict Kropidlowski on November 4, 1930 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He preceded her in death February 2, 1983.
Alvina was a homemaker and also worked on the family farm with her husband, Ben. She was a member of the Holy Family Altar Society, Poniatowski. Arts and crafts, playing cards, especially sheephead, and quilting were among her favorite things to do. She was a grandma to everyone.
She is survived by, one son, Kenneth (Ruth) Kropidlowski; three daughters, Gladys (William) Rennie, Owen, Bonnie (Stanley) Totos, Calumet City, Illinois, Vicki (Charles) Lemmer, Edgar; 30 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Koenig, Marshfield, Adeline (Rudy) Dins, Edgar; two brothers, Lawrence (Roseanne) Lee, Milwaukee, Raymond (Jean) Lee, Anchorage, Alaska; one son-in-law, Joe Bonin, Athens.
Besides her husband, Ben and her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Kropidlowski; two daughters, Irene Bonin, Rita Matysik; one son-in-law, Myron Matysik; one granddaughter, Tiffany Totos.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2002 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
There will be parish vigil service 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Edgar Funeral Home.
