Alvin A. Blaubach

Alvin A. Blaubach 82, Wausau, died Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Wausau Manor after a courageous battle with Parkinsons. He was born October 21, 1928 in Spencer, son of the late Fred and Rachel (Burlow) Blaubach. On September 22, 1951 he married Eldine Schulz at Zion Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. Alvin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Wausau Iron Works for 34 years and then for Kolbe and Kolbe for over 10 years, retiring in October of 1994. Some of his hobbies included woodworking, crafts, yard work and he volunteered for the Commission on Aging. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Eldine, Wausau; he is further survived by one daughter, Lori (Roger) Pachal, Wausau; two sons, James (Dorothy) Blaubach, Oregon, Wisc. and Kenneth (Judy) Blaubach, Wausau; five grandchildren, Mike (Angela) Blaubach, Bob (Andrea) Blaubach, Michelle Blaubach Matthew and Jennifer Pachal; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Breck Blaubach; sister, Lillian Wenzel, Wausau; brothers, Raymond (Patricia) Blaubach, Wausau and Ernest (Carol) Blaubach, Marathon. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elenore Schade and Violinda Limberg and three brothers, Daniel, George and Elroy Blaubach. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Rib Mountain Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, town of Stettin. Friends may call Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
