Alvera M. Rowe

Alvera M. Rowe, 89, Wausau, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born May 2, 1926 in Wausau, daughter of the late Anton and Leona Slagoski. Alvera worked as an in home caregiver. She was fun loving, easy going and had a wonderful personality. Even in her later years she had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with her nurses. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Gary) Rohloff, Lake DuBay; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, 10 great great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Jirgl; brothers, Tom (Sandy) Slagoski and Mike Slagoski. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rowe, a son and daughter-in-law, Forrest and Rita, two sisters, Joyce Manowski and Delores Brown, and three brothers, Tony, Jerry and Ronnie Slagoski. Funeral services will be at Noon on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Alan Burkhardt will officiate.
