Althea Weik

Althea Weik 93, Wausau, died Friday September 23, 2011 at North Central Health Care Facilities. She was born September 9, 1918, in Wausau, daughter of the late Henry and Olga (Gralow) Batten. On April 12, 1946, she married David Weik. He preceded her in death February 5, 1996. Prior to her retirement, Althea had been employed at Marathon Electric and Wausau Hospital. Survivors include cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, John and Daniel, two brothers, Benjamin and Fred Batten and one sister, Dorothy. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday September 27, 2011 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Ted Gulhaugen will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home.
