Aloysius ''Alois'' Alphonse Schuster

May 20, 1919 — April 2, 2002

Alois A. Schuster, 82, Wausau, died Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. Aloysius was born May 24, 1919 in Marathon, son of the late George and Helen (Ruplinger) Schuster. He married Viola Strasser, January 31, 1942 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. She survives. Alois farmed in the town of Cassel for 20 years and he later retired from Connor Forest Industries as a foreman in 1985. After he retired, he was a volunteer driver for the Social Service and a Mass server at Holy Name. Besides his wife, Viola, he is survived by eight children, A. Robert (Nancy) Schuster, Harry Schuster, Kenny (Kathleen) Schuster, Marilyn (Fred) Steinagel, Rosie (Bill) Viertel, Theresa (Gary) Stanke, Ron (Julie) Schuster, Ed Schuster; 17 grandchildren, Brian Schuster, Jamie Rogan, Kevin Schuster, Craig Schuster, Cindy Hall, Chris Steinagel, Wendy Peterson, Tammi Augustiniak, Dr. Tanya Gorder, Troy Viertel, Travis Stanke, Heather Stanke, Jessica Schuster, Jon Schuster, Richard Salzman, Noreen Salzman, Connie Salzman; 13 Great Grandchildren; two brothers, Alphonse Schuster, Marcel Carr; one sister, Katherine Lepak, . Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by, two brothers, Nick Schuster, Victor Schuster and one sister, Marie Lepak. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon, Friday, April 5, 2002, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. John Parr will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 a.m., Friday, until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Comfort Care & Hospice Services or The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus.
