Alma Rose Scobell
March 31, 1922 — November 24, 2017
Alma Rose "Amy" Scobell, 95, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born on March 31, 1922 to Clara and Henry Czerney at Lake Andes, South Dakota. In 1946 Amy married Elgin (Scob) Scobell and made Wausau home since 1950. Amy worked as receptionist for the Wausau Veterinary Clinic as long as Scob was in private practice and later worked for the Wausau School District and St. Mary's Hospital.
Much of Amy's free time was spent volunteering at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and Colonial Manor Nursing Home and she belonged to many organizations such as the American Legion Auxiliary, the Elks Club and St. Michael's Circle Group and Rosary Group.
Amy is survived by her children, Susan (Scott) Watson, Patrick (Lisa), and Randy (Tana), and by her grandchildren, Rilley, Mitchell, and Ivan and by her great-grandson, Hayden and great-granddaughters, Rowan and Merida.
The memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will preside. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at St. Michael Catholic Church. Her ashes will be set to rest next to her husband of sixty plus years at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
