Allen ''Butch'' Weiler

Allen "Butch" Weiler 50, S3190 State Hwy 13, Spencer, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. Allen was born on May 11, 1952 in Athens, son of Donald J. and Alice (Kremsreiter) Weiler, Athens. On January 27, 1973, he married Donna Olson in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. She survives. Butch was a heavy equipment operator for Wimmer Construction. He is a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan. As an avid sports enthusiast, Butch was a referee for theWIAA Wrestling and US WOA National Wrestling and past wrestling coach for the Abby/Colby Junior wrestling team. Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on his hobby farm. Besides his wife, Donna, Spencer and parents; survivors include four sons, Timothy Weiler, Troy Weiler and Travis Weiler all of Spencer and Todd Weiler, Dorchester; five grandchildren; eight sisters, Linda (Dennis) Kloth, Wausau, Bonnie (Terry) Leffel, Stratford, Donna Pecher, Stetsonville, Gail (Scott) Williams, Medford, Tammy Weiler, Rib Lake, Pam Weiler, Rita (David) Stevens and Julie (Scott) Jensen all of Athens; two brothers, Richard Weiler, Edgar and Calvin (Delene) Weiler, Medford. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. There will be a 7:00 p.m. parish vigil on Monday evening at the Athens funeral home.
