Allen E. Goetsch

Allen E. Goetsch, 81, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024.

He was born May 10, 1943 in Wausau, son of the late Ervin and Helen (Hughes) Goetsch.

Allen served his country in the United States Coast Guard where he resided in Whitefish Point Lighthouse in Paradise, MI from 1961 to 1965. He enjoyed reading, playing checkers on his computer and watching the Brewers and Packers. Allen also played cards, Sheepshead with his cousins Barb and Maureen Hughes and Ronald Hughes, His home the last several years was at Wellington Place and he loved living there, the staff treated him like family and also loved Allen’s sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Silvers, son in law, Keith Silvers and his ex-wife, Jeanette Goetsch who was a dear friend to Allen.  Allen is survived by a sister, Lynn O’Malley and two brothers, Gary and Tom Goetsch and many nieces and nephews.

Allen was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy and Karen and his brother Mark.

A family memorial will be held at a later date to celebrate Allen’s life.

Allen’s sense of humor will be deeply missed by his family.
