Alis Westfall

Alis Westfall 65, 416 Allen Street Athens, died Monday, July 14, 2003 at her home under the care of Palliative Care at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. She was born July 20, 1937 in Stoneham, Massachusetts daughter of the late Robert McCharles and Ingrid (Vorland) Richardson. On September 17, 1959 she married Ralph Westfall in Stoneham, Massachusetts. He survives. Alis was retired and loved volunteering at church. She enjoyed the ocean, watching movies, shopping, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Alis was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Survivors besides her husband Ralph "Rick" include two daughters, Kim (Kevin) Kottke, Athens, Kelly (Butch Stencil) Nowacki, Athens, two sons, Rick (Tammy) Westfall, Athens, Corey (Kelly) Westfall, Athens, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one sister Carolyn (Jim) Speers, Madison. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son and one brother Murray McCharles. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Burial will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a prayer service Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Athens funeral home.
