Alice E. Westberg

Alice E. Westberg, 85, Wausau, died Friday June 15, 2012 at Rennes She was born December 10, 1926, in Wausau, daughter of the late Walter and Bertha (Winter) Tress. On October 16, 1948, she married Melvin Westberg. He preceded her in death. Alice enjoyed feeding and watching birds, flowers gardening, and having coffee with friends and relatives. The holidays were a special time for Alice and she especially enjoyed decorating at Christmas. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she enjoyed attending Sunday services, the friendship of her church family, attended Bible study and made quilts with the Ladies Aide. Survivors include her sons, Arlyn "Tiny" (FiancAC., Marla) Westberg, Wausau, Allen Westberg, Rapid River, Mich., one granddaughter, Jennifer (Greg) Reichls, two great grandsons, one sister, Verna Erickson, Wausau, one sister-in-law, Martha Westberg, Wausau, two step-sons, Charles (Lorna) Westberg and Roger (Rita) Westberg. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky and two step-daughters. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Weds. June 20, 2012 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Nancy Russell will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, and again on Weds. from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
