Alice R. Crochiere

Alice R. Crochiere 79, 206 Sunrise Drive, Wausau died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital following an illness she got during her short stay at North Central Health Care Center. She was born December 8, 1928 in Wausau, daughter of the late Carl and Viola (Tesch) Doepke. On February 11, 1950 she married Orville Crochiere at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. He survives. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a great passion for baking and cooking and no one ever left her home hungry. She worked as a department manager at Herberger's Department Store in downtown Wausau for many years and later worked as a demo lady in many local grocery stores. She will be deeply missed by her entire family. Survivors include her husband, Orville Crochiere Sr., Wausau her children, Carol Crochiere, Wausau, Orville (Bonita) Crochiere Jr., Mosinee, Linda (John) Lang, Wausau, Gerald (Cynthia) Crochiere, Wausau and Randy Crochiere, Wausau, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her siblings, Pearl (LeRoy) Schoepke, Arnetta (Ken) Lang, Carl Doepke and Gerald (Doris) Doepke all of Wausau. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, William Crochiere, her brother Dale Doepke and her sister-in-law, Sue Doepke. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. The Rev. Mary Kay Sauter will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
