Alice Bouvat

Alice Bouvat, 83, Wausau died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born January 4, 1930 in Wausau, daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Treu) Koch. On October 1, 1949 she married John Bouvat at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2012. Alice worked at the former St. Mary's Hospital in Wausau as an administrative secretary for many years. Later, Alice became the manager of word processing at Wausau Hospital Center until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening and was a faithful and active member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Dale (Julie) Bouvat, Rothschild, Sue (Tom) Domka, Wausau and Dennis (Lisa) Bouvat, Plymouth, her grandchildren, Leah (Chad) Pester, Jacksonville, FL., Sarah Bouvat, Green Bay, Connie (Loren) Beyersdorff, Wausau, Rick Domka, Wausau, Lauren Bouvat and Bryan Bouvat, both of Plymouth and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack and an infant son Richard Bouvat. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Dr. Philip C. Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Alice's name. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
