Alfred F. Potts 85, 1102 S. 18th Avenue, Wausau, died Friday January 31, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born January 18, 1918 in Milwaukee, son of the late Charles and Anna (Felske) Potts. On May 2, 1942 he married Helen Kralcik at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan. She survives. Prior to his retirement, Alfred had been employed as a carpenter. He enjoyed dancing and playing cards. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S.Army. Survivors include his wife, Helen (Kralcik) Potts, a daughter, Kathleen (John) Lotharius, Wausau, a son, Larry (Marianne) Potts, Tomahawk, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Viola Bornbach, Marshfield. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Leonita Rowe and four brothers, Clarence, Charles, Roland and Robert Potts. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday February 4, 2003 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Michael Braun will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
