Alan “Abe” B. Woznicki, 76, Weston, died Friday, February 9, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born September 15, 1947 in Hatley, son of the late Edward and Velma (Doty) Woznicki. On August 2, 1969, he married Patricia Bleier at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. She survives.
Abe was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Post No. 471, Hatley. For many years, he was employed at JI Case in Schofield as a template maker until his retirement.
Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed fishing at his property up north on the “Mondo” flowage and hunting at the Hatley 40. He especially loved to spend time with his family.
Survivors include, his wife, Patricia; son, Scott Woznicki; daughter-in-law, April Woznicki; four grandchildren, Joshua, Lucas, Hayden and Lilah Woznicki; seven siblings, Karen Breske, Lee (Kathy Robe) Woznicki, Tom (Roberta) Woznicki, Don (Cathy) Woznicki, Dan (Brenda) Woznicki, Susie Klingbile and Carol (Wendall) Silvius; brother-in-law, Ron Geurink; sister-in-law, Patty Woznicki; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Woznicki; and three siblings, Diane Geurink and Gary and Cliff Woznicki.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Rev. Jerome Patric Maria-Francis will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion Post No. 10, Wausau. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
