Alan A. Fritsche
59, 4118 Briarwood Avenue, Wausau, died Monday, March 7, 2005 at his home, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born January 20, 1946 in Medford and raised in the township of Little Black, Wis., son of Arthur and Elaine (Niemuth) Fritsche. On April 20, 1990, he married Sandy Bogan in Wausau. She survives.
Alan was a plant engineer for Wilson-Hurd. He was a past Scout Leader for Troop 462, and taught CCD classes for 16 years at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau.
Among his many interests, he enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, hunting, working on cars, and most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Alan had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed helping and teaching others all he knew.
Survivors include, his wife, Sandy Fritsche, Wausau; his parents, Arthur and Elaine Fritsche, Dorchester; two sons, Scott (Brenda) Fritsche, Schofield and Jason (Kristin) Fritsche, Rib Mountain; one daughter, Karla (David) Kerchefski, Mosinee; two step-children, Deborah (Brian) Richards, Wausau and Richard (Elizabeth) Bogan, Hudson, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, Alexander and Nathaniel Fritsche, Greyson Bahr, Spencer and Alyssa Fritsche, Paul and Kyrie Kerchefski, Jonica, Jensen and Jayden Richards, Derrick and Kaylee Bogan; two brothers, Steve (Carolyn Woods) Fritsche, Milwaukee and Tom (Sue) Fritsche, Antigo; one brother-in-law, Ken (Vicki) Koerner, Neenah; and many nieces and nephews further survive.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice and Deacon Robert Anderson will preside. Entombment will be in The Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hamied Rezazadeh and the staff at UW Cancer Center, the oncology unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital and the staff at Comfort Care and Hospice Services for all of their loving care.
