Agnes O. Totzke

Agnes O. Totzke 88, town of Frankfort, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at her home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born February 7, 1920 in the town of Frankfort, daughter of the late Anton and Regina (Yessa) Hartl. On June 13, 1942, she married Albert Totzke at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wien. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2008. He survives. Before her marriage to Albert, Agnes taught in a one room school for three years. Together, they farmed and raised their family on the Totzke family homestead in the town of Frankfort. The Totzke family has owned the homestead since 1904. Agnes was a member of the St. John ELCA Ladies Aid and the Happy Homemakers Club. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening and baking. Survivors include, her husband, Albert Totzke, town of Frankfort; six children, Carl (Jean) Totzke, Edgar, John Totzke, Edgar, Aaron Totzke, Fenwood, Jane (Jeff) Carlson, Eagan, Minn., Kaye (Duane) Natzke, Athens and Kris Totzke, Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren, Cathy Wenzel, Jeff (Cydnee) Totzke, Jeremy Totzke, C. Anthony Totzke, Victoria Emens, Eric (Lisa) Totzke, Angela Totzke, Tiffany Totzke, Jessica Carlson, Andrew (Lori) Natzke and Benjamin Natzke; five great grandchildren, Matthew, Brienna, Cameron, Grayson and Nia; and two sisters, Laura (Ed) Mielke, Abbotsford and Leta (Leonard) Ebben, Abbotsford. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Totzke and Helen Brunner; and one brother, Leopold Hartl. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church, W1000 County Road N., Edgar. Rev. Jeff Tarras will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and again Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
