Adrienne C. Weisbrod

Adrienne C. Weisbrod 95, of Wausau died Thursday December 8, 2011 at Stone Crest Assisted Living Center, Wausau. Adrienne was born September 15, 1916 in Iowa, daughter of the late Aeneas and Catherine (Nolan) Shea. On June 25, 1947 she married Robert Weisbrod at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on October 24, 2008. Adrienne was a chief public health nurse in Marathon County for many years. She belonged to many nursing organizations and was also a member of various groups at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Wausau. She was fond of telling the story, in her own words, of "having dated Dutch in Des Moines". This refers to a few dates that she had with a person who would one day go on to become President of the United States, one Ronald Reagan. This was of course before she met her true love Bob. Survivors include a nephew John Weisbrod, nieces Jane Ince and Mary Swanson. She is also survived by her cousin Joanne Draman of Colorado. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Tuesday December 13, 2011 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
