Adeline M. Stencil

Adeline "Gram" M. Stencil 94, Rothschild, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Aspirus Hospice House Wausau. She was born January 10, 1913 in Chicago, daughter of Telesfore and Mary (Gnotte) Switalski. She married Anthony Stencil in Chicago. He preceded her in death January 1, 1987. Throughout her life she was strongly devoted to church and kept her faith in God to guide her. She loved her flowers in her yard and enjoyed spending time at the cottage and especially being by the water with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Adeline was always there to help her loved ones in any way she could, putting their needs in front of her own. Survivors include her two children: Jan Stencil, Mosinee and Allen (Sue) Stencil, Florida; seven grandchildren: Mike (Bobbie), Jim, Debbie (Kurt), Diane (Jim), Stefanie (Tim), DeLise (Kurt), and Patti (Mike); 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters-in-law; special friends Jenny and Lisa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and three sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated 5 pm Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Janusz Kowalski will officiate. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, town of Kronenwetter. Friends may call from 3 pm until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. The family of Adeline would like to send a sincere thank you to the Hospice House and Father Janusz.
