Adeline M. Rodemeier
87, Wausau, died Thursday, November 12, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Hospice House.
She was born November 23, 1921 in Ringle, daughter of the late Fred and Erna (Stubbe) Kraege. On March 4, 1942 she married Rufus Rodemeier in San Francisco. He preceded her in death.
Adeline was a homemaker and a waitress. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ and also the Women's Meditation Group. Some of her favorite pastimes included traveling, fishing, photography and quilting. Special to her was the time she spent tending her flower gardens and enjoying time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Sally (Jerry) Larson, Rhinelander, Gloria Sharp, Albuquerque, Frances (Jeff) Kujawa, Schofield and Sharon Aldrich, Arbor Vitae, her daughter-in-law, Kay Rodemeier, St. Germain, 16 grandchildren, Addy (Kermit) Kujawa, Zoe (Rick) Nylund, Luke (Kathy) Kujawa, Travis (Stephanie) Kujawa, Corry (Ron) Sharp, Mike (Aimee) Sharp, Dan (Kate) Sharp, Jon (Tammi) Aldrich, Chris (Celeste) Aldrich, Angela Wranik, Amanda (Jeremy) Barber, Alicia (Jon) Frenz, Erin (David) Hernandez, Rachel (Chris) Boyle, Jeff Norship and Jill Norship, 30 great grandchildren, one brother, Albert (Ardyth) Kraege, sister, Betty Jauernig and sister-in-law, Annabelle Kraege and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rufus, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Rodemeier, a daughter, Mary Wendt, and a great granddaughter, Joie Sharp.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest, Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
