Adeline M. Rochow

Adeline M. Rochow, 97, Wausau, passed away Friday September 28, 2012 at Harmony Assisted Living under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born August 24, 1915 in the Town of Cassel, daughter to the late Joseph and Anna (Dalski) Goldbach.On July 1, 1939 she married Clarence Rochow at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. They lived on Lake Wausau for their entire married life in the house that Clarence and his father built. Clarence passed away at 96, on October 16, 2011. Adeline always kept busy and was a wonderful cook. Those who knew her will always remember her chicken dinners and hardly a day went by without some fresh baked cookies, cakes, or pies all made with love. She was a master at writing letters and had perfect penmanship. Adeline and Clarence spent many weekends camping at Clear Lake with family and friends. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a very special, smart, loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. Survivors include two children, Bonnie (Chuck) Revie, and Donald (Kathy) Rockow; grandchildren, Dan (Michelle) Revie, Susan (Dan) Julka, and Alex Rockow; great-grandchildren, Jack and Lily Julka and Ben, Sam, and Adeline Revie; sister, Elsie Martino; sisters-in-law, Marie Goldbach and Iris Goldbach. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five sisters, Lillian (Rudy) Poeske, Lucille Goldbach, Virginia (Jake) Hornung, Marie (Don) Lins, Delores (Tom) Gassner and three brothers, Robert Goldbach, Ray Goldbach, and Hubert (Ella) Goldbach. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 4, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. The family would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Harmony Assisted Living and also the staff members at Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for the care and devotion they all shared with Adeline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran School, Education Fund. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
