Adeline E. Riemer 93, Athens, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born August 16, 1909 in the town of Hamburg, daughter of the late John and Ernestine (Voigt) Zastrow. On October 11, 1930, she married Ervin Riemer at St. Peter Lutheran Church, town of Hamburg. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2001. Adeline was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Ladies Aid in the town of Hamburg for many years. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and playing cards. Adeline had a great love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many friends. She is survived by two daughters, LuAnne (Gary) Wagner, Wausau and JoAnne (Robert) Pelatzke, Edgar; two sons, Ronald Riemer, Germantown and Robert (Caroline) Riemer, Athens; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Bahr and Viola Sturm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Donn Radde will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Hamburg. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau for the special care given to their Mother during her stay with them.
