Adeline C. Marthaler

Adeline C. Marthaler 66, 100 County Hwy. WW, Brokaw, died Saturday February 8, 2003 at her home under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born May 22, 1936 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late Rudy and Adeline (Sterzinger) Vesely. On May 7, 1955 she married Donald Marthaler at St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. He survives. Adeline had been employed at Lemke Cheese, retiring in 1998. Survivors inlcude her husband, Donald, two daughters, Gwen (Dale) Albrecht and Christine Marthaler, all of Wausau, two sons, Scott Marthaler, Milwaukee and Robert Marthaler, Madison, five grandchildren, Aja Chirpke, Stephanie (Travis) Augustine, Amie Marthaler, Chelsea Richards and Tristen; nine brothers, Rudy (Yvonne) Vesely, Oxford, George Vesely, Milwaukee, Ed (Carol) Vesely, Maple Grove, Minn., Dale (Marcie) Schiebe, Waukesha, Dennis (Jane) Vesely, Hartford, Jerome (Carol) Vesely, Morgan Hills, Calif., Elroy Vesely, Milwaukee, Wayne Vesely and Larry (Sandy) Vesely, all of Wausau; four sisters, Rita Hummer, Waterford, Carol (Mike) Peters, New Berlin, Rose (Jerry) Wasielewski, Waukesha and Margie (Bob) Mosey, Germantown. Besides her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by a son, Russell Marthaler on December 17, 2002, two brothers, Galen and Eldred and a sister, Lavone. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday February 13, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau, and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish vigil service Weds. evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
