Adelheid Wilhelmina Emma Baumann
93, 1010 E. Wausau Avenue, Wausau, formerly of Marathon, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
She was born November 6, 1913 in Mosinee, daughter of the late Fred and Emma (Buttke) Graveen. On September 25, 1937 she married Ludwig Baumann in the town of Rib Falls. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1988.
Adelheid was a homemaker. She was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church, town of Rib Falls. Some of her favorite pastimes included singing, playing the organ and the piano and the ability to speak fluent in German and English. Besides taking care of her lawn and cherishing the visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren Adelheid loved the company of her many cats. Adelheid was quite proud of the fact that she was able to help the boys around the farm with the daily chores well into her 80's.
Survivors include her children, Lynn (Jamie) Phillips, Marathon, Henry (Peggy) Baumann and Robert Baumann, both of Marathon, her grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Laabs, Heidi (Russell) Hornung and their children, Tanner and Trinity Hornung, Shelly (Steve) Fischer and their children, Dane and Karley Fischer and Dawn (Bill) Burish and their child, Jalyn Burish. Adelheid is also expecting her sixth great grandchild in the very near future.
Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one half sister, Irma Gresens and one half brother Martin Heise.
Private family services were held at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon. The Rev. Jon Hadler officiated. Burial was in Rib Falls Hillside Cemetery, town of Rib Falls.
