Adela Helen Nowicki

June 9, 1915 — October 7, 2002

Adela H. Nowicki 87, formerly of Athens, died Monday October 7, 2002 in Houston, Texas. She was born June 9, 1915 in Edgar, son of the late Paul and Pelagia Miller. On August 31, 1937 she married Arthur Nowicki at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He preceded her in death June 26, 1986. Adela was a homemaker and was a lunch cook at the former Holy Family Catholic School, Poniatowski. She was a member of the Rietbrock Homemaker's Club and the Parish Council of Catholic Women at Holy Family Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Riehle and a granddaughter, Tiffany Riehle M.D., both of Houston. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, two sisters, Irene Jesko and Sally Wisnewski. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Athens funeral home. There will be a parish rosary at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Athens funeral home.
